Overview:
Key Tech Labs, in partnership with the Sacred Land Collective, is launching an innovative Solar Tapestry initiative that integrates renewable energy, artistic expression, and sustainable agriculture. This groundbreaking project transforms repurposed solar panels into an energy-generating art installation while supporting regenerative farming practices.
Agrivoltaics Mini Solar Farm
A 2-acre demonstration site within the 70-acre Sacred Land Collective farm.
A half-acre agrivoltaics system combining solar energy and agriculture, maximizing land use.
2. Non-Permanent Solar Racking System
The solar microgrid system will use a non-permanent, modular racking system, allowing for quick assembly and disassembly.
This mobile infrastructure enables the project to be showcased at various locations, including farmers' markets, festivals, and educational events.
The system can be disassembled and reassembled within two hours, making it ideal for temporary installations and community engagement.
One of the key components of this system is its ability to store the energy from the solar panels.
The Battery management system will help to manage, monitor, and report back on energy use.
4. Solar Art Installation
The project incorporates solar panels embedded with artistic filaments, transforming them into a living canvas that generates energy.
The art will be designed collaboratively with the community, showcasing sustainability, culture, and regenerative themes.
This fusion of technology and creativity allows visitors to engage with renewable energy in a visually striking and meaningful way.
5. Crop Circle Garden & Sustainable Agriculture
A strawberry crop circle garden grown in a spiral formation, complementing the solar artwork.
Holistic farming practices produce food for on-site events and sustainability demonstrations.
6. Fundraising Initiative
The farm has a partnership with Seattle Ballooning, allowing visitors to ascend to 3,000 feet for a breathtaking aerial view of the farm.
Guests will see solar art designs and crop messages spelling out "Sacred Land Collective" in living plants and solar panel artwork.
The hot air balloon experience offers a unique immersive perspective, making it a one-of-a-kind sustainable tourism and fundraising opportunity
The solar microgrid system is portable and uses a non-permanent racking system that can be disassembled and reassembled within two hours.
The system will travel to events like the Burien Solar Punk Festival and Georgetown Steam Plant gatherings.
This mobile energy-generating artwork will activate community spaces, bringing solar power and art to farmers' markets, concerts, and STEM education events.
We are seeking partners and collaborators to refine our vision for a Land Art Generator and Solar Punk event. Possible expansions include:
Solar-powered murals and installations
A Solar Punk fashion show
Community-driven solar art projects
Let’s work together to create a sustainable, artistic, and educational experience that inspires communities and advances the circular economy. We welcome discussions on funding, resources, and partnerships. Reach out to schedule a virtual meeting!
